Shohini is a Textile Designer by profession, working in collaboration on the design and development at Coonoor & Co. She has worked extensively with textile craft techniques, for luxury artisanal clothing labels, with the focus on supporting the livelihood of the craft communities through design intervention, with prints and embroideries being her area of interest. By co-creating with the Toda artists and artisans, she is working towards bridging the space between the traditional indigenous Toda embroidery and the Contemporary Textiles and Textile Art space, keeping the Todas and their GI tagged exquisite embroidery at the forefront of the work at Coonoor & Co.
